    Benden is the second Weyr that was established on Pern. It is set in a double crater in the eastern mountain range.

  • Runner Stations (CRAFT HALLS)

    Runner Stations have been established in many areas of the western part of Pern. They are based in Fort Hold, but there are multiple Runner Stations in various Holds.
    Runner tracks are grass tracks that men and women run to carry messages from one Station to another, much like the Pony Express riders of the Old West, only on foot.
    They always go from Station to Station, but they are generally based in one Station. Each Station has a route or routes where they send their Runners.
